Scholarships

This program will support the award of a scholarship and a travel stipend (up to $1500) to attend the IFA Annual Convention. Scholarship candidates must be U.S. citizens enrolled in an accredited U.S. college or university, with a major or primary focus in one or more of these areas of study - business, finance, marketing, food service, hospitality, franchising, or entrepreneurship. Applicants must also submit a business plan up to 10 pages on a business concept.

The  Foundation and the Stewart and Jane Bainum Fund of the Community Foundation have paired to sponsor this competitive one-time award to be presented annually. Additionally, the individual selected will receive a complimentary registration to attend IFA's Annual Convention and will receive a travel stipend (up to $1500) to attend. To be eligible for this one-time award, applicant must: (1) be enrolled in a U.S. accredited college of university with studies in business, hospitality, or franchise management, (2) have sophomore, junior or senior college class standing for the period of the scholarship, and (3) be a U.S. citizen. The IFA Foundation and the Fred DeLuca Foundation have partnered to sponsor this educational scholarship. Created in memory of the co-founder of Subway, the competitive one-time scholarship award will provide financial assistance to students with studies in business/entrepreneurship or franchise management. Applicants must be U.S. citizens enrolled in an accredited college/university in the U.S. In addition to the one-time competitive scholarship, the recipients will receive a complimentary registration to attend IFA’s Annual Convention and will receive a travel stipend (up to $1500) to attend.

The Irl Marshall CFE scholarship award of $2,500. The total amount of this scholarship will be applied toward the tuition for programs offered for ICFE credit and must be used within a three-year period. Amounts not used within three years of the time of the award will be forfeited, returning into the general scholarship fund.
