This program will support the award of a scholarship and a travel stipend (up to $1500) to attend the IFA Annual Convention. Scholarship candidates must be U.S. citizens enrolled in an accredited U.S. college or university, with a major or primary focus in one or more of these areas of study - business, finance, marketing, food service, hospitality, franchising, or entrepreneurship. The Don DeBolt Franchising Scholarship Program is named in honor of IFA’s past president who served from 1995 to 2004. The purpose of the scholarship is to recognize and support students who have participated in DECA’s Franchising/Entrepreneurship Competitive Events who are enrolled in an accredited college/university with studies in business or franchise management by providing financial assistance. A competitive one-time award will be presented annually and the recipient will receive a travel stipend (up to $1500) to attend the IFA Annual Convention coordinated through DECA.Click here for more information
The Foundation and the Stewart and Jane Bainum Fund of the Community Foundation have paired to sponsor this competitive one-time award to be presented annually. Additionally, the individual selected will receive a complimentary registration to attend IFA's Annual Convention and will receive a travel stipend (up to $1500) to attend. To be eligible for this one-time award, applicant must: (1) be enrolled in a U.S. accredited college of university with studies in business, hospitality, or franchise management, (2) have sophomore, junior or senior college class standing for the period of the scholarship, and (3) be a U.S. citizen. The Irl Marshall CFE scholarship award of $2,500. The total amount of this scholarship will be applied toward the tuition for programs offered for ICFE credit and must be used within a three-year period.
