IFA Foundation Celebrates Record Breaking Second Year of the Giving Tuesday Campaign

WASHINGTON, December 17 – The IFA and its Foundation were proud to participate in this year’s national day of giving on November 27th, 2018, and were heartened by the outpouring of support from the franchise community. The IFA Foundation saw an increase of over 50% on last year’s donations, raising over $15,000 in mostly small donations.

The IFA Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit, and this is the second year participating in the campaign designed to encourage charitable giving during the holiday season. Each year since 2012, thousands of non-profits in the US and around the world have participated in the campaign, raising funds for worthwhile causes. Rikki Amos, Vice President of the IFA Foundation, emphasized that “participation in the campaign is particularly important because it raises awareness of our work among the broadest possible audience, and it gives the entire franchise community a collective opportunity to share in that work and support it.”

This year’s increased donation total is thanks in particular to three gracious donors, Catherine Monson of FASTSIGNS and Robin & Eric Gagnon of WeSellRestaurants. Thanks to the generosity of these donors, the IFA Foundation will be able to bolster its veteran, diversity and certification programming. The IFA Foundation gives thanks to all donors who supported us this Giving Tuesday and joined us in our mission to build the future of franchising.
